This modern, hand-knotted wool and silk pile rug reference the Damask patterns. Typical of the Byzantine and Middle Eastern weaving centres of the early middle ages. 

This is a gallery shaped rug, ideal for a large front hall or a dining room with a refectory table. Medium sized medallions have been used in alternating rows. Beautiful aqua blue colours give the rug a restful look.
