NAME: Baluchi Persian Runner
SKU: 13896
The Baluchi tribe settled in eastern Iran from the 5th century onwards after originally migrating northward from Syria. This unique Baluchi rug boasts an extra-large size and features a one-off geometric design reminiscent of lightning, with zig-zag and geometrical lines. The weavers have made an exciting choice of colors - green, blue, and orange - to highlight the traditional red field. Today, the nomadic Baluchi people now live near the border of Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Known for their rich cultural heritage, the Baluchi tribe has a diverse portfolio of rug designs, primarily consisting of repeated motifs placed diagonally across the ground.
