One of the well-known names in Persian carpets. Saruk rugs were renowned in the 19th century for the quality of their strength and hardiness. They are one of the most sought after rugs in the American market, sometimes known as “American Saruq”.  This is a fine vintage rug, classical design of a round central medallion, placed on a “boteh” field with unique fan shaped corners. The construction is hand-knotted wool on a cotton warp, in blue, red and cream colours.
