This immediately brings to mind the famous and romantic Silk Route with its history of rugs, fabrics etc. The design of this rug is geometric with rows of large lozenges placed allover a brick red ground which is framed by a foliate border with two geometric guards.  Beautifully finished at each end with fine kelim work. The owner of this piece wants an unforgettable rug with a story created by renown craftsman with a long history of rug making.
